In 2004 inline skater Krzysztof Dzienniak of Warsaw, Poland skated 3000 miles across the United States, from New York City on the East coast to Microsoft World Headquarters on the Northwest Coast in Washington State.

In 2004 Darek Cwiklak spent a week inline skating on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, which is located off the coast of Africa, just east of Madagascar.
